Do you like your history served up with a side of irreverent speculation? Tudor Time Machine is the podcast for you. Join 21st century hosts Jessica and Gage as they spar with Tudor Time Traveler Lady Philadelphia Carey, correspondent from the time of Elizabeth I.
In our newest series, Out Brief Candle, Philadelphia sets out to solve a gruesome murder at William Shakespere’s Globe theater. It’s bloody good! In the series Times Riddle Philadelphia divulges damning secrets about her queen. You’ll never think of Elizabeth the same way!
In Tudor Word of the Week Philadelphia gets us to talk like Tudors, and brings to light the real ( and pretty shocking) meaning of minikins, smell smock, mumping and even dump (it’s not what you think it is!) Intrigued?

1565--BEDFORD HOUSE, LONDON
In which the visiting Swedish Princess gets her way.
This is a history podcast and a story podcast rolled into one. It’s a secret history of the Elizabethan Court set in 1565. So much has been written about Elizabeth, everyone thinks they know the truth of Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth, but we’re going to tell you a story about who we think were the important players and we'll follow it up with some Tudor history talk about Swedish Princess, Cecilia Vasa, and her ‘diplomatic’ visit to England.
